Energy off your pc along with the internet modem and disconnect their energy cords in the electricity outlet.
Discover the Ethernet cable that connects your pc towards the modem and unplug its finish in the computer.
Plug the removed finish in to the Ethernet port at the rear of your router.
Plug one finish from the Ethernet wire (which included the router) in to the 'LAN 1' port at the rear of your router. Now plug the 2nd finish in to the Ethernet port at the rear of your pc. It's the same port that you first of all went an Ethernet cable to the web modem.
